KMC handles contract production of medical instrumentation in dedicated, customer-focused, manufacturing work cells, or as we prefer to call them, "focused factories." All manufacturing resources for a particular product are located in a segregated area on our production floor. Each focused factory also includes the piece-part inventory, assembly tooling and test equipment, process details, drawings, and other documentation required for the product.

Our most important resources in each factory are the people who make up the production team—assemblers, test technicians, buyer/planners, and manufacturing engineers.

A production team leader manages each factory. Team leaders have hands-on production experience and are intimately familiar with the demands of the GMP manufacturing environment. They are responsible for the day-to-day direct supervision and coordination of team activities and provide a continuous point of contact with the customer. The production team leaders are also accountable to our senior management regarding cost, schedule, and quality performance issues.
