The joint venture allows medical device and instrumentation OEMs and end users to outsource maintenance services to a US-based team of skilled field engineers able to manage unexpected service peaks with on-demand flexibility. As a seamless extension of an OEM’s field service organization, the PEAK-Service USA team enables instrument manufacturers to efficiently and effectively meet growing service demand while realigning their focus toward R&D, sales, and profitability.

PEAK-Service USA’s capabilities allow OEMs to expand their maintenance services and enhance customer support without the expense of hiring additional support staff. The company’s contracted services allow smaller OEMs with limited resources to provide national field service, and are a perfect complement to existing service teams of larger organizations. Unlike regional service providers, PEAK-Service USA has field service engineers located across the US. Instrumentation users benefit from rapid response to equipment issues and maximum uptime.

PEAK-Service USA contracts with instrumentation OEMs and end users to offer unparalleled, on-site support including repair, installation, validation, installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), spare-part fulfillment, inventory management, and loaner pool management. Service professionals also provide retrofits, upgrades, and product improvement assistance. Customer satisfaction surveys are conducted to ensure OEMs and end-users receive support tailored to their needs.
PEAK-Service USA will leverage PEAK-Service GmbH’s proprietary repV® software, a data management system that provides technicians, OEMs and end users with real-time Web-based access to service order activity ranging from repair status and service updates to statistical instrument quality tracking.

Under the terms of the agreement, PEAK-Services USA is a limited-liability company with a 60-40 ownership split. Both KMC Systems and PEAK-Service GmbH will participate in co-branding opportunities to promote the joint endeavor.
