Austin and the rest of the VICE Expedition team will hike Korona peak in Ala-Archa National Park.

Today, the Take It To The Top VICE Expedition team ascends a 4,400m Ala-Archa National Park peak in Kyrgyzstan.

The latest update from the InReach tracking device on July 7 put them at 3,789m (12,431.1 ft) at 8:34 a.m. their time, which makes it 6:34 p.m. EDT

These ascents are part of the team's acclimatization process before they attempt Point 5318.

At 4,810m (15,780.84 ft), it's the highest mountain they will summit during the acclimatization phase.

According to tourism site kyrgyzjer.com, the Korona mountain "is aptly named 'Crown' after the six separate towers that comprise the summit."
