Tweets and blogs tell it like it is for KMC Systems

KMC Systems has a lot to tweet, post and blog about this month! We were exhibiting at the Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference in San Francisco, contributed to an article in MPO Magazine, “Opening the Door to Innovation,”  posted a new blog “KMC’s communication focus leads to better products and long-term relationships,” and shared (retweeted) exciting new medical technology developments in the medical device industry.

“Tweeting and blogging enables us to stay current in sharing news with our customers and prospects, plus the connection is immediate on an industry-wide, global scale,” noted Bob Evans, marketing manager at KMC. “KMC has recognized, along with other industry leaders, that Twitter and blogging are powerful tools for communication, idea-sharing, obtaining industry feedback and collaboration.”

KMC Systems recognizes the advantages of using “tweeting” to build potential relationships by following industry influencers, medical device manufacturers and industry organizations.

Every day is a new adventure in social media for KMC. “Being able to broaden our reach, with up-to-the-minute industry buzz and interact with all our followers in real time helps us to stay connected on all the related fronts of medical device design and manufacturing,” Evans explained.  Some Twitter activities KMC Systems focuses on include:

KMC reviews its Twitter feed (@KMCSystems ) each day and re-tweets tweets that are of interest to the company’s followers.

One topic which continues to be followed closely in the medical device design and manufacturing world is the highly controversial medical device tax and the negotiations with congress for its appeal. Everyone is writing about it, posting their position and commenting on how it would impact their business. KMC offered their comments recently posting a blog entitled “Is your medical device canary still chirping?” The decision to uphold the healthcare law injected a new sense of urgency into the transformation of the healthcare industry so the tweeting activity is intense. Another related topic highly tweeted in 2012 was the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act. The decision reinforced the most sweeping piece of healthcare legislation since the inception of Medicare in 1965. Commonly shared information includes news on product recalls, new technological developments, new clinical trial information, and new FDA approvals.

KMC has always been a pioneer in medical device product development and manufacturing and now is embracing the social media connection as a part of their leading-edge marketing initiatives. “There are clear benefits from all the intelligence and exposure gained from Twitter, as we feel more connected to the day-to-day news in the medical technology and healthcare industries,” Evans said. KMC is well aware now in its marketing initiatives that social media is a great mechanism for re-purposing new information, articles, blogs, videos, and new company developments. When KMC’s marketing team writes a blog it gets tweeted, shared to our LinkedIn site, and posted on KMC’s Facebook page and website.
