Elbit Systems of America, Inc., (ESA) recently received the Patriot Award from New Hampshire Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Employers qualify for recognition when they practice leadership and personnel policies that support employee participation in the Guard and Reserve and in addition, support Guard and Reserve employee families during mobilizations. To honor those employers who assist their Guard and Reserve employees, ESGR has initiated several recognition programs, one being the Patriot Award.
The company was nominated for the award by Neil Benson, Plastics Engineer for KMC Systems, Inc., Merrimack, New Hampshire, an Elbit Systems of America Company. As a National Guard Sergeant 1st Class, Benson has served three tours of duty with the United States Army National Guard. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2006 and again in 2007 where he was critically injured. Despite a long and intense recovery, Mr. Benson supported orders received for deployment to Iraq in 2011.
Benson shared, “Throughout my military career, even while I was recovering from injuries, the company went above and beyond to support my choice to serve my country and provided unwavering support to both myself and my family. The Patriot Award nomination was a token of my gratitude for the company’s commitment to me and to U.S. service men and women stationed world-wide.”
The Patriot award was presented by Regional ESGR Committee Chairman, Arthur Andrew, accompanied by Dave Quinn, Chair of the New Hampshire ESGR Committee and Rick Plante, New Hampshire ESGR Committee member.
“We’re honored by Neil’s nomination and the receipt of the ESGR Patriot Award,” added Pat McNallen, President of KMC Systems, Inc. “We’re most happy about his safe return to his wife and children and his extended ESA family.”
