Swing by booth #1140 at the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) Conference and Exhibition 2014 to meet our KMC team! If you haven't registered for the conference or booked that San Diego flight yet, be sure to jump on it before the holiday hubbub!
Attend SLAS2014 to:
- meet with the KMC Systems team! (Did we mention that already?)
- network with medical industry professionals.
- visit more than 300 leading laboratory-technology-provider exhibit booths.
- attend presentations by experts in the medical field.
- and much more!
We asked SLAS Marketing Communications Director Tom Manning what attendees can look forward to at SLAS2014 and here's what he said:
What makes the 2014 SLAS Conference a must-attend event?
SLAS2014 is unique in terms of the blend of education, innovation and community. The scientific program is crafted by a committee of practicing scientists, who select the best presentations from hundreds of submitted abstracts based on what’s most interesting, relevant and applicable to the needs of today’s researcher. Innovation is abundant not only in our scientific program, but in the exhibition, which features 300+ multinational providers showcasing the latest technologies specific to applications in and for functional laboratories. Thirdly, the community aspect of what transpires at the annual SLAS conference is critical and tough to explain unless you have experienced it firsthand. Culturally, SLAS members are a friendly, open and collaborative community – camaraderie seems to transcend competitive advantage and our members and attendees generally operate in a mindset of trust and helping one another succeed.
What's new for this show that wasn't included in 2013?
Several new elements have been added for SLAS2014. Program-wise, we have partnered with the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine to hold a satellite symposium on Sunday, Jan. 19, titled Pioneering Stem Cell Research for Regenerative Medicine. On Monday, a second satellite symposium – titled Innovative Technologies for the Discovery of New Medicines - will be held at the Genomics Institute for the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF). A new short course is being offered, as well as special sessions on Disruptive Technologies and Phenotypic vs. Target-Based Drug Discovery. We are also pleased to offer expanded career services, including educational sessions, a job board, and individual coaching and mentoring sessions with career experts and local professionals. Finally, we’re pleased to debut a conference app at SLAS2014, which will be available for download a couple weeks prior to the event. Please forgive the shameless plug, but complete event information can be found at www.SLAS2014.org.
The conference is from January 18 to 22 at the San Diego Convention Center. Don’t forget to participate in the Twitter conversation with hashtag #SLAS2014.
