"KMC Systems has made significant investments in tools and technologies to accelerate time to market for OEM instrument design and development," Business Development Manager Walter Gilde said.

Gilde will share these KMC advantages at the AACC Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo 2013 in his OEM Lecture presentation, Rapid IVD Instrument Development, on Tuesday, July 30, at 10:20 a.m. in room 360DEF of the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Gilde's AACC conference presentation details KMC's rapid product development strategy. The Rapid IVD Instrument Development abstract states that:

OEM Lecture Series

When: Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31, 9 a.m. to noon

Where: George R. Brown Convention Center, Room 360DEF

Length: Each presentation will be 20 minutes long: a 15-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A period.

Focus: New technology and/or new products or services for IVD manufacturers.

Understanding user requirements, selecting and optimizing the hardware and software architecture and leveraging off-the-shelf technologies are essential elements of a successful rapid IVD product development program. This presentation will address how timely application of these three strategies can minimize design changes, speed time to market, and, most importantly, allow OEMs to meet user needs at a reasonable cost.

A shorter time to market and reduced cost aren't the only benefits of rapid IVD medical device development. The KMC Systems rapid product development program also:

  • Validates the OEM value proposition to customers to improve product definition for design and minimize costly design changes
  • Mitigates risks in the program and product
  • Improves ROI

Attend Rapid IVD Instrument Development to learn how KMC Systems saves time and money on In Vitro Diagnostics medical device development, design, manufacture and support.

The OEM Lecture Series is "a series of short presentations in which exhibitors can present innovative technologies and services to interested professionals from IVD company R & D, manufacturing, product development, and other areas," according to AACC Annual Meeting management company
Scherago International.
